About

There are so many things I want to type about myself given the fact that I have done many things throughout my life that most people unfortunately don’t get a chance to do.

I’m 23 years old and I am a student over at Crichton College (not Creighton University in Omaha) in Memphis, Tennessee. As luck would have it, my birthday is the same day as Pedro Martinez, Bob Knight, James Carville, Ciara, and Bobby Thomson’s, October 25th. My major is Biblical Studies with a concentration in Urban Youth Ministry and I plan to go into the world of counseling troubled youths and people that need a shoulder to cry after I graduate.

I am a native Memphian, love the culture here in the town but hate the mentality of the people. I feel in a way that living in Memphis is like being on a treadmill because roughly half of the people I come in contact with are just happy with getting by instead of broadening their horizons. That’s why Herenton’s in office again.

I have a great bunch of friends that I love very dearly and a love for all of God’s beauty (girls and nature).

I’m a bad bowler, an average pool player, and a lefthanded shooter in basketball. I once played quarterback for my neighborhood team as a child and had an arm that could put Peyton Manning to shame. Baseball was always and will be my best sport but since I’m clearly out of shape now, I think I’ll stick to sports blogging.

Southern Girls, Good Times, and Sports is an extension of what I do with TNB, the site I co-own. It’s unbiased opinions on sports around the region and the country plus a dose of humor through the murky waters of dating and what women really want as well as the good times I have with my friends.
